Having a hard time taking your medicine?
Tips for Getting Your Medicine Down the Hatch…
- Hold your nose until the medicine is swallowed. Then follow up with a quick drink of juice.
- Many medicines can be frozen like popsicles…just check with your pharmacist first.
- Chilling liquid medicines improves the flavor.
- Hold a paper cup under chin when giving liquid medicine. Spills can then be mixed with water or fruit juice and drunk from the cup.
- Rub an ice cube over tongue to numb the taste buds.
- Bury a pill in a spoonful of applesauce, yogurt, ice cream or whipped cream
- Crush the pill and mix the powder into applesauce and jam. Serve with a spoon and follow with juice or water.
- Keep track of medicine dosage on your calendar..stay organized.
